Sub: Pro-rata retirement benefits to permanent Government servants on absorption in Central Public Sector Undertakings.
Q. Whether those Government employees who had resigned on their own volition to get permanently absorbed in central public sector undertakings can be allowed pro-rata pensionary benefits for the service rendered in their parent department.
Ans. Pro-rata pension can be allowed to public sector undertaking / autonomous body absorbees who :-
(i) have put in not less than 10 years of qualifying service and (ii) were holding a permanent post on substantive basis before being appointed in a public sector undertaking / autonomous body.
Pro-rata pension will be available to the public sector undertaking / autonomous body absorbees who fulfill the above two conditions whether they got absorbed in the organisation in public interest or on own volition, with effect from16.06.1967. If the absorption had taken place prior to 16.06.1967, then the benefit of pro-rata pension will become available to the absorbees only from 16.06.1967.
