Audit is knowledge and skill based profession. Government auditors, to maintain their credibility and professionalism need to upgrade their knowledge and skills on a continuous basis. Enhancing the skills of its professional staff has been a constant endeavor of the Indian Audit & Accounts Department and Training, thus, has remained an integral part of activities of the Department. International Centre for Information Systems and Audit (iCISA) established by the Comptroller and Auditor General of India is responsible for imparting professional training to the officers of the Indian Audit & Accounts Department. An ISO 9001: 2000 certified institution, it also conducts International Training Programmes for audit professionals from other Supreme Audit Institutions from all over the world. It conducts 5 International Training Courses every fiscal (April to March) on subjects of topical interest relating to Audit. The objectives of these Training Programmes are:
