Shri Rakesh Mohan is an officer of Indian Audit & Accounts Service 1987 batch. A post-graduate, he also holds Diploma in Business Administration (IT), and is currently posted as Pr. Accountant General (Audit), Delhi. As Pr. A G (Audit), Delhi he is responsible for audit of all expenditure and revenue of the Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi and all the public sector undertakings and the autonomous bodies under its administrative control. His audit jurisdiction also extends to the Delhi Police, which is under administrative control of Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India. Besides, he also oversees the PAO for 14 IA&AD offices in Delhi and the Principal PAO for whole of the IA&AD in India with over 270 offices. 

Before taking charge as the Pr. AG (Audit), Delhi, he served as the Director General (North Eastern Region) in the Office of the C&AG of India.  During the career of over 32 years, he has held different charges, in the Indian Audit & Accounts Department, Govt. of India, PSU and Autonomous Body.  He has served with the Government of India.  Some of his assignments include the Joint Secretary, M/o Minority Affairs; Joint Secretary, Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports; Director General Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangthan; Commissioner, Linguistic Minorities; Managing Director and CEO, National Waqf Development Corporation; Financial Controller, Delhi Tourism and Transportation Development Corporation, Govt. of Delhi and Programme Director, ICCR, M/o MEA, GOI.  He has also conducted audit of the prominent international organisations which include “World Health Organisation (WHO), Geneva, Switzerland”, “United Nations Project Service (Peace and Security Cluster), New York” and “Food & Agriculture Organisation (FAO), Regional Office for Africa, Acra, Ghana (2007)”,
