Overview

This Audit Report on Social, Economic, Revenue and General Sectors of Government of Sikkim for the year ended March 2017 has been prepared for submission to the Governor of Sikkim under Article 151 of the Constitution of India. The Report consists of six chapters. Chapters I to V deal with Social, Economic, Public Sector Undertakings, Revenue and General Sectors and Chapter VI deals with Follow up of Audit observations.

This Report contains significant results of the performance audit and compliance of the departments of Government of Sikkim. It contains 28 audit paragraphs and three performance audits. Important findings featured in the Report includes, Performance Audit on National Rural Drinking Water Programme, Sikkim Nationalised Transport Division including implementation of the Integrated Depot Management System and Functioning of State Bank of Sikkim and Compliance Audit on National Social Assistance Programme and Border Area Development Programme besides Information Technology Audit on Sikkim Integrated Financial Management System
